Friendly and sweet, but also very independent, she is generally happier to observe activities rather than interacting in them. Although social and affectionate with familiar humans and accepting of well-mannered canines, she is most comfortable in the company of other calm, independent adult felines. A really undemanding and quiet cat who doesnt readily reveal much of herself, Madelein will appreciate a space to call her own, like a window perch or tower, where she can be near family members without having them fawning over her. She is most expressive with her affection when being stroked and when having her coat brushed which she thoroughly enjoys. When the mood suits her she'll let go of some of her inhibitions and participate in interactive play with toys pretty vigorously, although not for long-periods of time. Madelein is an ideal companion for a family with other well-mannered, adult housemate pets, canine and/or feline. She will do well in just about any home environment so long as she is embraced as a respected and much-loved, lifelong feline family member who is included in daily activities (somewhat on her terms) and who is allowed to establish reasonable boundaries with other housemate pets.
