As if taken directly from the Min Pin mold, Tobie, a fawningly devoted little guy brings with him wherever he goes an all-in attitude and larger-than-life personality. Quiet and calm most of the time, but sometimes perky and playful, Tobie is an intelligent, attentive, eager-to-please, very sweet, sometimes silly, always elegant, and extremely sensitive canine who if he isn't hanging out with (or shadowing) adored family members then he is snoozing under a warm blanket. Sometimes reserved with strangers, he is extremely friendly and very affectionate with people he knows. Although a toy, he is also a terrier meaning he can be bold, feisty, stubborn, and very independent at times. It also means everything he does he does entirely wholeheartedly. Tobie is best suited for a home with a calm and moderately laid-back environment without active, young children. Being a Min Pin means he has a tendency to snap first and ask questions later if faced with situations that make him feel threatened or insecure and having to make coping decisions on his own. A family willing to provide him with leadership and a structured environment where he is nurtured, cherished, and always included in daily activities will go a long way to ensure his continued success as a social, happy, and well-mannered canine companion and family member. Once settled into his new home, he will bond quickly and deeply with his new family members. Although Tobie is social and friendly with both canines and felines he currently lives in a foster home with a meet and greet with any housemate pets will be necessary prior to adoption. Because of his small size and his willingness to challenge dogs much larger than himself (which can get him into serious trouble), Tobie should have access to a safely, secured area or be on a leash and always be accompanied by a family member when outdoors. He should never be left alone outdoors unattended for any period of time. Note: Like most Min Pins, Tobie hates the cold and will need a dedicated bed and blanket to cuddle under for sleeping.
